We’re thrilled to announce that our talented directors Chad Tennies, Mac Grant, and Ben Knechtel have been nominated for two Canadian Country Music Awards! Their work on the music video for "Honky Tonkin' About" with The Reklaws and Drake Milligan has earned them nods for both Video of the Year and Video Director of the Year.
The video, shot on location in Romania, perfectly captures the essence of a bygone era, set against the backdrop of an old western town. This immersive production featured a cast of 70 extras, all decked out in authentic old western costumes, along with multiple horses and carriages to enhance the scene’s realism. Not only did the production team create a vivid, nostalgic atmosphere, but they also brought in a stellar lineup of actors including Mary-Louise Parker, Christopher McDonald, Robert Knepper, and Michael Woods to add depth and character to the narrative.
Chad, Mac, and Ben's visionary leadership on this project demonstrates their ability to transport audiences to another time and place. Their keen attention to detail and commitment to creating an unforgettable visual experience has clearly resonated with the Canadian Country Music community, garnering these well-deserved nominations.
